Alica Schmidt,dubbed the 'world's sexiest athlete',failed to qualify for the Olympic women's 4x400m relay heats with Germany as they finished seventh in their race.
Schmidt,25,was recently embroiled in controversy in Paris after she replaced one of her relay runner team-mates - who was axed completely after complaining.
Luna Bulmahn was expected to compete in the 4x400m mixed relay but after being dropped in a surprise decision,Germany went on to finish second from last.
After voicing her anger,the German Athletics Association also removed her from the 4x400m women's relay - and the nation stuttered to another disappointing finish.
